La Dame a' la Licorne
"Au Mon Seul Desir" (To My Only Desire) is the largest of the six and leaves the viewer wondering if the lady is giving or receiving the necklace she is holding.

The pièce de résistance of the Cluny is the series of six, 15th Century tapestries known as "La Dame a' la Licorne"
(The Lady and the Unicorn). To be surrounded by these centuries-old masterpieces with their symbolism and exquisite detail sent chills up and down my spine. |
All six tapestries are hung together in a climate-controlled dark room with special lighting in order to preserve them.
